This blend of 40% Chambourcin, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the best of each variety. The Cabernet Franc was fermented in stainless steel with 30% whole cluster inclusion, while the Chambourcin and Cabernet Sauvignon were fully destemmed and fermented as whole berries. These fermentation methods gently extracted rich color and tannins. Each variety was then aged for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels. Origins is lighter on the body with lots of fresh fruit on the nose and and palate, long mineral finish with long and fine tannins.
