The 2022 Channery Hill is the newest vintage of one of Old Westminster’s original blends, a wine that has been part of our story since our very first vintage. Our take on a classic Bordeaux blend, the 2022 vintage brings together 50% Merlot from Pad’s View, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from Cool Ridge, and 20% Cabernet Franc from 78 Acres. Each variety was hand-harvested and chilled overnight before being processed and fermented separately. The fruit underwent whole-berry fermentation with native yeast in stainless steel for approximately three weeks before being drained and pressed to barrel. The wine then aged for three years in once-used and neutral French oak, bringing the three vineyard sites together while preserving the distinct character of each.
